Welcome to the official site for the Reserve Organization of America Department of Texas. We are one of several departments under the national organization known as the Reserve Officers Association, D/B/A Reserve Organization of America.
Our main mission is to support initiatives and advocacy for military members, both active, reserve and veterans at the State of Texas level as well as at the national level in coordination with national ROA objectives and initiatives. The department consist of Army Section, Sea Services Section and Air Force Section to support respective branches of the armed forces located in Texas. The department also has several standing committees to support programs such as membership, legislative affairs, C&BL, and Resolutions.
We host an annual department convention to elect new leadership, approve annual budget and establish program objectives for the program year which commences April 1 annually. The department receives rebates from the national office which are used to fund activities and programs at the department and chapter levels. The department also host a quarterly virtual meeting of the Executive Committee (EXCOM) consisting of department president, service section VP’s, committee chairs and chapter representatives to update activities and synchronize efforts to support our military.
Texas ROA supports the active chapters within Texas. These include Chapter 5 (Austin), Chapter 18 (Dallas-Fort Worth), Chapter 33 (Houston) and Chapter 53 (Alamo). Individual chapters elect their own leadership annually and plan activities at the local chapter level including virtual meetings, local ROTC support and family support activities and events supporting our military.
